My parents, or "gammy" and "papa" as DJ calls them, came to visit for a few days, and we were so glad to have them come! They came in on Thursday and left on Sunday, so it was a quick trip, but anytime they come, we have a great time.
My dad actually rented a car and drove to Phonenix for a day to spend some time with his parents (his dad was recently in the hospital, and at 89, any trip there can be a big deal, but everything looks good now), so we had Grandma for 4 days and Grandpa for 3. And unfortunately, they both got strep, so we did a lot of sitting on the couch, but we did get to do a few things before their symptoms got bad and we sent them to an urgent care.
My mom and I dragged DJ around with us to shop on Thursday and Friday, and he was a good sport about that. She also had several sword fights with DJ (if you are in the same house with him, you will end up sword fighting with him - he will make you) plus danced with him and generally had a great time until Saturday, when she took a turn for the worse. Luckily, Saturday meant Grandpa taking DJ to the park to go on the slides and fly a kite. Plus, Grandpa bought him a Slurpee, so that's pretty much the best thing that can ever happen to a kid. They stayed home from church on Sunday, but we had a really great meal with them after before we took them to the airport. Both DJ and I cried when they left because we love them so much, but I think we'll pull through!
Because no one really felt well, I didn't take very many pictures, so I'll share what I have. Even though everyone felt gross, I was glad to be able to have them here and to get to spend some time with them. DJ was glad they came, too. And poor Deg, every time any of the women in my family get together, we always talk in a ridiculous Southern accent that he hates. He put up with us, though, and enjoyed having them here, too.

DJ loves his grandparents. I do, too. They are pretty awesome.
While they were here, my dad showed me some pictures he had on his phone from Christmas that I hadn't seen before, so he sent those to me. That means bonus pictures for you, reader! Woo hoo!

From Christmas day: Grandpa with his grandbabies, playing in the snow. Despite the look on DJ's face, they were all having an absolute blast!

DJ is bad at smiling in pictures! He really did like playing in the snow with his aunt Lindsey and me.
