Lake Powell 2016

My parents are awesome. Like really really awesome. And because they are awesome, they offered to take anyone who wanted to join them to Lake Powell for a week. Obviously Amber didn't come (no one wants to take a 2 week old baby on a boat for a week, especially after having a C-section), and Deg had to work at the new job, but everyone else was there, and it was truly amazing. And therefore I will picture dump on you and explain the awesome.
On the drive over, we met up with Ryan and Brooke's family in Flagstaff. And then we stole Ellie so she and DJ could hang out and be best friends. Because they are.
When we got to the house we'd rented, these two had to go climb in every bed in the place, yell, "Sleepover!" and then go find another bed to try.

He'll be 57 in a few weeks. I want to be as cool as my dad.

Lindsey's fiancee, Nick, passed muster by learning to ski.

It's not a trip until the water weenie comes out.

The kiddos swimming with Grandma.

Grandma had so many babies who wanted to sit on her lap! Poor Jet got kicked off!

DJ liked to chill in the back of the boat with a swim diaper and no pants on. Usually he doesn't wear a swim diaper, but since he refused pants, we insisted on at least the swim diaper.

Ryan took his cute daughter Ellie with him on the surfboard. She was pumped to go and then terrified to be out there.

Marital therapy.

Danny's hair is getting so long, so we made him a man bun.

Dan and Lindsey are the cutest pair of sibling friends ever.

You know, just making sure Grandpa drives that boat correctly.

This was DJ's favorite thing of the trip. He loved playing on the beach and collecting shells. Like, we came home with 4 ziploc bags full of shells.

Side note - these two are 6 months apart. Why is my kid so tiny?! Oh well, he makes up for it in cutes. Also, I have a giant crack in my camera lens on my phone. You may now mourn with me.

My little homie for the week.

We went to church in Page and ended up attending the Navajo ward, which was awesome. But that middle announcement... I was dying with laughter!

DJ's uncles helped him surf.

Grandpa took DJ out on the tubes.

The most attractive cliff jumpers you've ever seen. (Also, you will note that I am the lowest - there was no way in heck I was climbing any higher.)
My dad and his two main bros cliff jumping.
Kid cliff jumping.

I tried surfing. Tried. I should stick with skiing.

Me, DJ, Ryan, and Ellie on the tubes. Going with littlies is the only way they get me on the tubes.

Three cute cousins.

Annie is 1, DJ is almost 3, they weigh the same, and it is hilarious.
