December-Ween

Here's a look at some of the fun, crazy, amazing things we did this December.

I sure do have fun friends. Thanks, Moriya, for being a goofball with me.

Must be Santa! Must be Santa! Must be Santa, Santa Claus!

Super attractive couple right there.

DJ was sick and missed our church Christmas party, so Santa came to see him. We sure are grateful for WONDERFUL neighbors. I mean, seriously grateful.

Penguin-tine family art project

My brother, Ryan, made me this manger for Christmas, sent it to me early, and made me open it early. I cried when I opened it. As little kids, my mom had a manger, and in December, as we did nice things for others, we would take a piece of hay and put it in the manger. By December 25, it was a soft bed, all ready for the baby. I'm so excited to have this tradition live on in my home. And DJ is excited to have a place for his Storm Trooper to sleep. Priorities.

DJ wrote a letter to Santa, and Santa mailed him one back. Because Santa is the bomb.

DJ's friend Lincoln came over and the boys helped me dip chocolate pretzels. OK really they just dipped and ate. Also, DJ is tiny and Lincoln is super tall. And they're a year apart in age. Poor tiny DJ!

Ugly ice skating penguin sweater dress for an ugly sweater party. Because why not?

Did I mention there was a for-real elf at the party?

A for real elf, guys.

Sunday before Christmas - aka a halfway decent pic of the three of us.

Santa Claus and Santa Jaws - a Vegas Christmas tradition. Don't let his face fool you - he was super excited and pulled this face just when the photographer said, "Cheese!" That's my little scamp of a boy!

Gettin' my holiday baking done.

We made Santa bears out of cotton balls one day. Because why not?

We had some wonderful friends invite us over for Christmas Eve dinner and festivities. (Remember when I mentioned wonderful neighbors? I was being serious!) They did a nativity with the little kids, and DJ was so excited to be a sheep. He didn't want to wear a costume, but he did want to yell over and over, "I'm a sheep! Baaaaa!"
