December 25 and 26 - the Valentine Christmas Celebration!

These two slept in way longer than I did on Christmas morning. Wake up, already! Santa was here!
Santa came! And after all this time, asking for a blue pew-pew and a blue fish, he brought them! And a tool bench! That Santa is amazing! And so is Christmas!!!

Of all the things Santa, Grandma, and Mom and Dad got him, this $1.50 Storm Trooper candy dispenser was far and away the favorite gift. Go figure.

The loot, minus the fish (because I'm not about to put that anywhere near his bed) and the pew-pew (which he wasn't about to let out of his hands). Santa, Grandma, friends, and Mom and Dad stuff all piled together - this kid made out like a bandit!
This is Dory, the blue fish DJ so diligently requested for a whole month. Dory is a male double tailed betta. DJ named him. And calls him a her. But he/she's a fish who lives alone, so I'm not sure gender matters here. Regardless, DORY!!!

Merry Christmas!

Dr. DJ gave some of his animals a check up with his new doctor kit.

That pig was the sickest - he needed stitches, medicine, and who knows what else!

We drove an hour up to Mount Charleston the day after Christmas, and this little dude didn't believe me that there'd be snow up there.

On the way, we drove past the cutest, quaintest little church. Seriously, out of a Hallmark movie!

Snow! Snow for days! (OK for an Idaho/Utah girl, this wasn't all that much snow, but for our Vegas baby, SNOW!!!)

They paused in their snow hurling for a picture.

Look at that little face. He was so excited! And he didn't even fight me on putting on his boots, hat, gloves, or coat, which is a Christmas miracle in and of itself!

I sure do love these two.

We didn't last too long in the snow before we got really cold. It was 24 degrees up there, so we were chilly after about 45 minutes. DJ snuggled into his car seat with his hat, his blanket, and the promise of hot chocolate. He lasted about 10 minutes before he passed out.

And for dinner? Sushi! Because making your own sushi is actually really easy and super fun.
