We really do live in a great neighborhood and have a fantastic ward family. One of my favorite families that live near us is the Hone family. Recently, the husband's dad passed away, and after the funeral in Idaho, there were additional memorial services in California. They called and asked if we'd watch their kids for a few days while we went to that, which we, of course, were glad to do for them. And because it's me, I spent a lot of time taking pictures of their youngest and DJ terrorizing each other. So let the madness begin!
DJ and Shaylee were BFF's all weekend. They spent a lot of time:
| Jumping on the "jumpoline" |
| Decorating letters for their names |
| Blowing bubbles with this sweet awesome bubble fan |
| Having Easter glasses dance parties |
| Making faces for the camera (maybe I decided to join them) |
| Playing hide and seek |
| Playing make believe sleeping, make believe reading, make believe cooking, make believe shopping, make believe... everything! |

| They also had a basketball hoop, which DJ loved. He has actually been begging for a hoop since Christmas, when our neighbor's 14 year old got one. It took this kid about 3 tries to figure out how to get the ball in the hoop, and then he never missed. I don't know how that's possible, given his, ahem, extremely athletic parentage. |

| Touchdown! (That's the right terminology, right? Joking!) |
| He didn't want to leave, and even climbed in our suitcase when we got home, as if we would then pack him up and take him back over to play. |
What I didn't document were the 9, 13, and 15 year olds, which I should have. They are darling kids who made it so easy to hang out with them for three days. They even watched DJ for a few hours while Deg and I went to a baptism (another story, a good one mind you, for another day). We hung out, ate pizza, went to a movie, learned how to use nunchucks, went to Zupas, made it through church, and got schooled in chess. We were so glad to hang out with them, albeit tired by the end of it. We love the Hones and can't wait to play with them again soon!
