Deg's parents come to visit

Deg's parents drove to Vegas from Massachusetts (yes, drove) to spend 5 days with us. We had a great time with them, and I am terrible at taking pictures these days, so I'll share what I've got and I'll tell you about their trip here!

We went and saw the botanical gardens at the Bellagio. As you can see, DJ thought they were pretty freakin' awesome.

They were doing the gardens up for Chinese New Year. The outfit on this 10 foot child is all done with flowers. There were probably 5 other kid flower statues like this. Amazing

I love the Lion Habitat Ranch, and so I take everyone to go see it. My in laws loved it too, because how could you not.

The habitat has a baby lion cub, who had a ball, which DJ was interested in. Angel, the cub, was interested in DJ, so rolled the ball over to the glass to try to play. So cute!

We took my in laws with us to go see Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. We are attractive folks, by the way. We had a blast - a show including sword fighting and jousting and a meal you are required to eat with your hands.

We also went to Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. (Well, I went with DJ and my in laws and took Deg later, where we actually got to meet Siegfried, who is a very fancy man.)

The dolphin show was kind of fun - DJ was into spitting like the dolphins do every time they breathe.

I love that these places have cheesy tourist photos. They always turn out so bad, but they are so funny.

Speaking of terrible but funny picture, what the heck is up with this one? I mean, really?

We also hiked the old railroad trail that was used to build the Hoover Dam. It goes through 5 old train tunnels. DJ hiked a good chunk of it (he likes to sign and say hike, so it's only natural that he'd actually like the act of hiking), but slept in the stroller for most of it.

Grandma and Grandpa also brought some fun Christmas things with them - books and toys and whatnot. They had a blast playing Just Dance with DJ (oh, how I am getting sick of the songs on the disc we own!) and playing throw and catch (DJ is much better at throw than catch, but we're working on it). They were sad to have to go back to Massachusetts and leave not only the wonderful winter weather we have, but to leave their very favorite grandson (I can say that since he's the only one and not hurt anyone's feelings).
