Poor Miss Lindsey had to have surgery on her ankle last Thursday. During a volleyball class at USU, she ruptured her tendons and ligaments in her ankle, so those had to be fixed. What a fun spring break for her, huh? Well, not that I'm super entertaining, but I figured I wasn't doing anything and it would be slightly more entertaining for her to have me and the Deej there rather than just Mom and Dad, so on Sunday, DJ and I flew to Idaho (love the 1 1/2 hour Allegiant cheap flight directly into IF!) and stayed till Thursday morning. And now, I shall tell you the tale of the Idaho trip.
On Sunday, we mostly just hung out. Linz was in a lot of pain, so we just talked and watched DJ roll around the floor and try to eat the dog. Our cousin Ariana and her fiancee came over for dinner, which was fun, and Lindsey's boyfriend was there, so we had a lot of peeps to hang out with us. We watched Frozen that night because, well, who doesn't want to watch Frozen? Thank you, Amazon Instant Video, for your early release of that super cute movie! And everyone wanted to hang out with DJ because he is awesome.

Monday meant more pain for Linz, so we just let her sleep.Between sleeping bouts, I ran to the store to get some supplies for a picture she wanted me to paint for her. We really didn't do much, but when you're with good company, you don't really have to do more than just hanging out. So, we did just that: we hung out and chatted and it was really fun to be with everyone. We spent some time with Deej while he played copy Grandma and Grandpa before watching the BYU game - go Cougs!

On Tuesday, it was more hanging out and good times had by everyone. DJ turned 8 months, so we had a mini photo shoot, as I am prone to do, and then I made cinnamon raisin bagels for everyone (delicious, by the way). Then, my parents neighbors came over for the BYU game, and their 1st grader LOVES DJ, so she and I hung out a lot. She even helped him get ready for bed, which was so nice of her!

| The under part of Grandma's chair is so dang cool that DJ played with it for a good 20 minutes. |

On Wednesday, Linz's boyfriend came back from working in Logan, so it was fun to hang out with him. My mom offered to babysit, so I got to go to the temple for the first time since before DJ was born. Heavenly Father and I had a 25 minute chat on my way that if I was going to go, He had to help DJ be able to handle it. I've only left him twice before this (other than with Deg), and the last time we did, he had a hard time, so I was freaking out. Plus, I'm good at freaking out. He was a very good boy, apparently, so blessing for doing what you're supposed to! We watched Captain Phillips that night - if you haven't seen it, watch it, but maybe in the daylight, because it's intense.

| Chilling with Grandma, just trying to get Jet to not be jealous of all the attention being on the baby and not on the puppy. |
We had to leave the house by 8 on Thursday, so we said goodbye and flew back to Las Vegas. I, of course, cried when we left, because I always do. But DJ was being super cute and the girl sitting next to us on the plane was an early childhood ed major at BYU-Idaho, so we were all good buddies, which made me forget that I was leaving my family, which, no matter the case, makes me cry like a baby.

We had a blast, and though poor Lindsey is still broken, it was really fun to get to go hang out and make some fun memories. Because she's 10 years younger than me, we don't have a ton of memories together from when I was living at home, so I enjoy being able to forge memories now. Plus, it's important to me that DJ spend time with family, so it was all pretty dang awesome.
