DJ gets all the babes

My son is an insufferable flirt. We are gonna be in so much trouble when that kid hits puberty. Wherever we go, if there's a lady, he's flirting. He loves to smile and coo and bashfully hide his face, then peek back out again and smile and pull his hands up to his face like he's hiding - it's ridiculously adorable and beyond hilarious. At least this is the way he is with adults. This weekend, we got to see how he'd handle a lady more his own age.

My sister in law Brooke's sister and her husband and daughter live here, so we were excited to get to hang out with them. They have been super helpful in helping us figure out apartments and where to start looking for houses (oh yeah, did I mention we're house shopping?) and whatnot. They even brought us dinner our first night here. So we decided it was time to have them over for dinner to not only hang out but to say thanks for being amazing. Deg and Brad had a blast playing Wii Sports together, and Emily and I have a ton in common - we both craft, majored in English and love to read, have small kids, etc. So it was a great time hanging out with them. However, the best part was watching DJ and their daughter, Lia, interacting with each other.

Lia was mildly interested in DJ but very interested in his toys. DJ was mildly interested in his toys but very interested in Lia. I swear to you, the following pics were taken in sequence - you can't make this stuff up.

Ba ha ha ha! Being a parent to this kid is gonna be hilarious for years to come!
