Day 19

Day 19: whatever tickles your fancy

Whatever tickles my fancy, huh? Well, let's see. Last timje that happened, I blogged about my new besties. Today I think I shall do a top ten list. Well maybe not top ten, but ten things about me you didn't know. As if by now you don't know everything, right? Ready, go!

  1. I don't like rosemary. I feel like whenever it's in anything, I'm eating a pine tree. Especially if it's not chopped properly. Regardless, I will not order something specifically because it has rosemary in it.
  2. My anxiety causes me to be obsessive about things. I don't do things in small doses. Like the time I decided to make myself a watch band and it turned into a whole jewelry business. Oops!
  3. I'm in love with the TV show The Big Bang Theory. Richard just introduced us and I'm pretty sure I love it. I love watching it with Deg and watching him actually get their nerd talk, but most of all, I love Sheldon. He's adorable and annoying and I just wish I had a Sheldon in my life.
  4. I often misread things. I'll be driving down the road or handing people disclosure documents at work and my eyes will skim past words and I will totally misread them. Like when something starts with the letter F and is a short word, my mind translates that into the "f" word. All the time. It's kind of funny.
  5. I am lucky to have any eyebrows or eyelashes. In high school, my anxiety manifested itself in me pulling mascara off of my eyelashes. Well, when you wear waterproof mascara, the only way to get it off that way is to take the eyelashes with you. I had to wear fakies until mine grew back in. I've mostly stopped that, but sometimes I tug on my eyebrows without thinking about it. This has left rather "cute" gaps mid eyebrow a time or two, which is very hot.
  6. I pretty much think of food 24/7. I think about what kinds of things would be fun to make, what I'd need to make them, what I just ate, what I want to eat, why I shouldn't have eaten something, what I wish I could do with food. That might be why I'm not so satisfied with my waistline these days.
  7. Sometimes, when I'm cold at night, rather than getting up to get another blanket or to put socks on or to turn the heater on, I say Deg's name over and over till he wakes up and make him scoot over and spoon me so I can get warm again. Good thing he never remembers in the morning!
  8. I am deathy afraid of getting old. When you get old, your body starts to fall apart and you can't do what you love. I'm scared of being old. I don't look at my parents as being old, but my poor grandparents, I'm now realizing, are old. They are still great people, but they don't like being old, either. Just ask Grandma Hall - she'll tell you in no uncertain terms!
  9. I have a dream of opening a bakery. I would just love to spend my days covered in flour and making delicious concoctions for people to enjoy. There are only two things stopping me: fear of failure and an inability to get up at 5 every morning to bake bread.
  10. I used to bite my fingernails and because of this, they are very weak. I really really want nice fingernails and sometimes, when mine break down and get short, I feel really self conscious. That is why I got myself fake nails. That way, I can keep those short (well, short for fake nails) and actually have nails and not have to worry about not having nails and I can move on to the next random thing I'm obsessing over.

PS: Today I biked 5 1/2 miles in 30 minutes
