Thinking Positively

Sometimes, one needs to think positively. I mean, after all, I could dwell on the negative. Like the fact that my right eye has been twitching for 30 minutes strait and it's driving me bananas. Or that I'm still surrounded in boxes with no hope of escape. Or that I still have no job and not being the breadwinner in our family is still weird. This all being the case, this is my positivity post. I mean, my eye won't hold still, but my life is still pretty great! For example:
  • When we moved into our new apartment, they gave us a place that they had just repainted, recarpeted, replaced all the blinds, cleaned, and even sanitized the light switch and electrical outlet covers.
  • When the dishwasher started leaking, it took less than 15 minutes to get one of the cute maintenance men here to fix it, and when he couldn't, it took less than 24 hours to get a new one installed, free of cost to us.
  • While they were here replacing the dead dishwasher, they also fixed a door that was having a hard time closing and nailed down some loose baseboards (baseboards that, by the way, were located behind the fridge and under some really low cupboards).
  • We have started making some great friends. There's a few families at church we're already buddied up with, as well as a few people at Deg's work who genuinely want to spend time with he and I outside of his office.
  • Speaking of Deg's job, Deg has a job.
See? Things are great when you think positively!

I didn't know you were in Lousiville! Oh my goodness you are only 8 hours from us. By the way, you need to go to Pizza King in Jeffersonville, IN (across the river) and get he BBQ pizza with a little extra sauce. It is our favorite thing to eat and earlier this year we drove all the way from NC to get this pizza for Derek. His grandparents used to live in IN and he used to get it every year. What do you think of your new digs? Call sometime... number is the same.
