My sister Amber

I've been thinking a lot about my sister lately. So, it goes without saying that a post about her just seems natural. So here it is: everything about Amber!

The 5 coolest things about Amber:
1. She's the department head of the PE/Health department at the school she works at.
2. She was the PETE (PE teacher education) program president at BYU.
3. She played the organ at her BYU-I graduation.
4. Her school has a bunch of equipment in it that rivals Golds Gym because she got a grant to work with BYU to develop some new research about equipment and PE students.
5. She spent a week in DC campaigning for a candidate running for office in 2006.

Amber's top 5 medical maladies:
1. She has an extra piece of tissue connecting her kidneys, so they are shaped like a horseshoe rather than two kidney beans.
2. She ripped all of the ligaments out of her thumb in high school during a jump ball at a basketball game. She got that ball, though! The ensuing screw in the thumb is neat too.
3. She scraped the crap out of her ring finger on her right hand when biking when we were little. She had to get a nail transplant from her toe.
4. When she was born, her body grew her ureters backwards, so she had to have surgery to switch them.
5. She didn't grow any wisdom teeth, nor did she grow two of her permanent teeth.
