Classroom management

Sometimes my students get really wiggly and hyper. In order to keep my sanity with them, I do weird things. Sometimes, I lecture to stuffed animals. Sometimes, I sing opera to them. And sometimes, I use an old remote I found in my classroom to put them on mute. Well, they thought that one was really funny, so one of my cute students found an old remote at home and customized it for me:

 

Front of the remote. My favorite button is the "Ryan do your work" button. You know you are notorious for not working when you get your very own button.

They even personalized the back side of it!

  

This is the box that the remote came in. Yes, the cutie even made a box for it. Sometimes they are just so darn cute! (PS if you're wondering why it says "buntons" on the box, it's because that's how I pronounce the word "button". For the life of me, I cannot pronounce it correctly. You'd think by 25 I'd have that one down...)
