The Navigator Fox

Across the street from the school I work at is a small airport. It's a secondary airport to the main one in the state. In the giant, unused lawn surrounding the landing strip lives an adorable fox. He used to live in the lot that now contains a sausage factory, but he had to move when that lovely edifice went in. Every time I drive past, he's sitting in the middle of the field, watching me drive. Some of the teachers have mentioned to me that he does the same with them. Today, I ran to the gas station, and on my way back, I saw him running parallel to the road and down his field in the opposite direction I was driving. As we reached each other, he stopped, looked at me, turned, and started running the same way I was driving. Cute little fox, he was running after me! (Shhh... let me believe what I want!) It's nice to know we are safe with the Navigator Fox watching over us and our school.

So cute! I want a pet fox. I bet it totally was following you, just to say hello. That is something I would think at least if it happened to me and everyone else would think I was crazy. So I am telling you that you aren't crazy.

Did I ever tell you the story of my parents' pet fox Stanley? Aparently he was holy terror.

But foxes are my favorite animal, they are just so sleek and classy looking!
