We celebrated Christmas and whatnot

This year was the Halls year for Christmas, so DJ and I flew to Idaho on December 21 and Deg flew out on December 24 and then we all stayed till December 31. It has been 4 years since all my siblings could be together for Christmas, so it was a blast to have everyone piled into my mom and dad's place for a few weeks. It was so nice to be all together and to be able to see everyone interacting with each other. And, because I am beyond biased, I loved watching DJ ham it up and play with everyone, especially Grandma and Grandpa and his cousin, Ellie. We sure are blessed to have such a great family!
Dad and Danny change a lightbulb while Ryan spots them (aka stands near and laughs)

Santa brought DJ some power tools, and DJ thought it was hilarious when Auntie Amber used the power screwdriver to tickle his nose.

Olive fingers are, apparently, something that kids don't need to be shown. It's natural.

DJ got to experience snow for the first time. There was snow last Christmas in Massachusetts, but he was so bitty that he didn't know or care. It turns out he loves the stuff!

Best buddies.

DJ loved playing with the whole family in that cold, delicious, fluffy white stuff.

These two have a tradition of doing an awkward sibling Christmas nap.

Grandpa sure loved being able to hang out with both of his grandbabies.

Uncle Ryan is the coolest.
Grandma has a really cool play kitchen in her basement, so these two cuties spent a lot of time cooking together. Also, notice how short DJ looks next to Ellie - can you tell her dad is 6'2" and his dad is 5'8"?

Grandpa and Deej playing hide and seek under the ping pong table.
Balance the baby - a Hall family tradition, passed on from father to son. Ellie was having none of it, but DJ was just fine being balanced.
Grandma and Grandpa have the coolest house. They have chairs and bean bags that are grandbaby sized, which were perfect for watching Finding Nemo while the moms and dads and aunts and uncles went to a movie.
DJ showed off like this for a good hour one night.

Amber helped DJ play a mean game of ping pong.

And it turns out that, apparently, DJ is well on his way to being able to count to 10.
