So we got together with a few gals, dressed to the nines (because, really, how often do you get to do that?), and had a tea party. There were several selections of herbal teas, some cider and hot chocolate, and all the tea staples, like lemon, milk, and special tea sugar. I bought two tea sets at Ross (because they were cute AND cheap), so everyone got their own cup and saucer to take home with them. So we made tea, drank tea, and felt very fancy!
My friend Chelsea also made a carrot cake to go with our tea. Not only did she make it, but she had to make two because her daughter accidentally knocked the first one onto the floor. And she grated all the carrots by hand. I mean, seriously, that's a good friend! Bekah made a gluten free cake (because she's allergic) and some of the guests enjoyed that. And my friend Moriya brought some delicious apple bread. I'd stuck some chocolates in the mugs before we handed them out, so there was definitely an adequate amount of sugar going around.
During the tea service, there was obviously some fun chatting that happened. After tea, we played a fun board game and were giggling pretty much all night long. After the game, the chatting continued. I left at 12:30 in the morning, but some of the girls ended up staying till 2 in the morning. So that's the sign of a good party!
We really did have fun, and what a fun and different thing to do!
