Deg and I were married 4 years ago today. I could tell you how much we love each other or how grateful I am for our marriage (both of which are true). However, I'm going to tell you what we did. We ate, because that's what we like to do. And by like, I mean we'd probably both have gluttony as our top deadly sin. And because I'm that person, I took pics of what we ate. Are you ready?
We went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in the St. Matthews area of Louisville. It's on the 16th floor of the Kaden Tower, a swanky office building with one of those amazing old-fashioned external elevators. Deg loved that part. I faced the door and waited for it to be over. Those heights and I just don't like each other.
Then, we ate. And. ate. And ate. We ate this:
| Fried lobster in a spicy sriracha mayo sauce with a cucumber salad. |
| Pan-seard filet, served on a 500 degree plate in order to keep the steak warm while you eat it. Served in a butter sauce. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and a corn and edamame succotash. |
| Key lime cheesecake with raspberry sorbet and dark chocolate walnut bark served in a raspberry sauce. And an adorable plate to wish us a happy anniversary. Note - there's a candle in the sorbet to help us celebrate. |
| Look at that face. Too bad the light in the restaurant was bad. You don't get the full effect of how dang cute he is. |
