Indiana Update

If you've been following the news, you know that things have been rough in Indiana lately. According to authorities, yesterday, Friday the 2nd of March, we were hit with the worst storm since 1947. Several huge tornadoes touched down and, as of right now, the death toll is up to 29 across the states that have been hit.

Deg was at work and the area of Louisville he was in was untouched. He made it home safe and sound. I was at school for the first wave of the storm and in a friend's basement for the second wave. Both locations were untouched.

New Albany, our town, looks no different than it did yesterday morning. However, about 20 miles north of here is another story. Deg and I spent a few hours cleaning a small farming community today and will do the same tomorrow. Church tomorrow has been changed to sacrament meeting only so that we can go put on our work gloves and help out. It will be a long time until the cleanup is done.

We will continue to work and to serve where we can. We feel very blessed to remain unscathed and to have our friends and coworkers safe and sound again. I will keep you updated as to what's going on here. We are so grateful to have our faith to keep our souls safe while we help others find physical safety.
