Day 41

Day 41: whatever tickles your fancy

I love Christmas. I love baking all the goodies. I love the music. I love the colors. I love decorating the house. I love decorating the tree. I love wracking my brain for amazing gift ideas. I love wrapping gifts. I love placing said gifts under the tree. I love the parties. For a few minutes, I even love the cold and the snow (as long as I'm inside). I love the hot chocolate. I love the time spent with friends and family. I love the caroling. I love the hats, gloves, and mittens. I love that everyone seems a little bit nicer (except on Black Friday, but I don't do that because of the crowds). I love that charity seems abundant in the world again. I love that people try to help one another, whether they know each other or not. I love the nativity sets and the lights. I love thinking about why we celebrate Christmas. I love celebrating baby Jesus.

On a completely unrelated note, Deg and I went to the temple yesterday to see a family in our ward be sealed to each other. Mom, Dad and all 6 kids were all dressed in white and knelt around the altar with each other. They were baptized a year ago and have been so excited to get to the temple. They are such a beautiful family and I'm pretty sure that being there and seeing them together inside the sealing room was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen or could hope to see. I was the biggest bawl baby (I know, hard to imagine me with uncontrollable emotions, especially crying) and my heart was so full of love and joy. The spirit was so strong and my testimony of both the temple and of families was strengthened. It was just beautiful.
