Life Updates/Ramblings

Ryan FINALLY went to the doctor (he was supposed to go when he got back from his mission) to get a colonoscopy (the tiny camera up the bum you have to get every year once you turn 50 OR if you're Ryan and have UC) and they found a flare-up so he's back on meds. He says he feels fine except for the meds keeping him up at night, but he says that allows him to do a lot more studying. Weirdo. Who studies at college? (Just kidding - the kid's got a 4.0)
Amber just found out that she gets to have major reconstructive hip surgery AGAIN. It's the other hip this time. That'll probably be over Thanksgiving. She's okay with it because it's causing her a lot of pain and now that her other hip is healed and she can tell the difference between one fixed and one not, she's ready to get the other one fixed. The surgery sucks and the healing is a long process, but that's life, I suppose. She'd do the surgery now if she wasn't coaching volleyball.

In other news, Deg gets to go to Chicago on a "business trip" (they'll spend like 6 hours total during 3 days working) and I have to stay here. Lame. I'm pretty bummed, though I'll admit it's mostly because I've never been to Chicago and I'm jealous. I'm planning a huge personal craft/baking party, though, so I'll make it through. Thinking of making multigrain bread plus half and half bread. (The recipes either are or will end up at the Create-A-Torium blog - see link at the top right of the page.)

Also... I cleaned my house today. If you really know me, you'll be proud. I vacuumed, mopped, and everything. Deg was very happy about that one. Not that the house was dirty so much as just cluttered. Clutter is what I do best. I know where everything is and it's home is on the floor. Or something like that.

Has anyone seen the TV show Castle? I kind of love it. Good thing Netflix lets me watch it whenever I want. Between that and Mythbusters, I'm a happy camper these days.

As a side note: I'm pretty sure my parents and siblings don't know I have a blog or, if they do, don't read it. If you are a sibling/parental unit, you should leave a comment and prove me wrong. I love being wrong. :)

Oh Lara, you're so funny. I'm not even sure any of them would know how to log onto the internet to look at it!
