Day 5

day 5: a letter to your first crush

Dear Chase,
You and I had science together in 6th grade. Mr. Ihler was our teacher. We sat on the other side of the room from one another. I was the short one who was usually quiet. Not like that helps, but...

Anyway... let's get back to the point at hand. You were pretty dang hot. I admired you from across the room, across the cafeteria, and occasionally, from across the gym during a school dance. You had this gelled hair, styled in the George Clooney Caesar cut, and it was so brown and shiny that I just wanted to touch it. When those ripaway pants came out, you were one of the first people to wear them, and they looked so awesome on you. You were just so stylish that I didn't know what to do with myself. And you had these braces. Braces, for some reason, were hot in middle school, and yours looked so awesome on you. You had the cutest smile and I was so scared to make eye contact with you that I'd blush if you ever even looked in my direction.

Later on (like in 8th grade), we kind of ran around in the same group, so we got to talk and get to know each other then. We kind of lost track during high school, though we'd still say hi in the halls. A lot has happened since then. I have no idea where you are or what you're doing in your life. I hope all is well.

Sincerely,
Jessica
