Today is whatever tickles your fancy. And, funny enough, I can't think of a thing to say. Weird, huh? So let's see here... Oooh! How about this!
I've been going through a lot of changes lately. I mean, Deg graduated and I don't have to pay tuition anymore, I quit my teaching job, Deg and I moved to Indiana, Deg has a big boy job, I have a new job, we have a new apartment and new callings, the list goes on and on. But the change that's been the most exciting and most amazing to me is the friends I've developed here. I don't think I ever had such a strong testimony of friendship before moving here. I mean, growing up, you just kind of hang out with the kids your age in your neighborhood and take that for granted. And when I started college, I was way to immature to think about things like that. So now here I am, halfway across the country, truly alone (except for Deg, of course) and I have to start all over. I truly had no friends when I got here, and now I have some really friends who I love dearly and who have been answers to prayers. And I'm feeling like I should publicly tell them how stinkin' awesome they are. Shall we begin?
This is Heather. She and her husband Ben met at BYU (gooooooo Cougars!) and now they're out here while he does grad school. She's maybe a year younger than me. They just had their first baby and she is the cutest thing EVER. I got made an un-official aunt today, which just made me so excited I thought I'd pee my pants. Heather is an amazing girl who is so happy and positive and I kind of just love her to death. And she lets me come over all the time, which I love.
This is Monica. She's a year older than me but she's kind of my idol. She's got the cutest little boys who I love to wrestle with. She and her husband are adorable and I love going over to their house. I always feel welcome there and I love how great they are. Monica is an ASL interpreter, which probably makes her the coolest person ever. And she lets me show up unannounced and laughs at my dumb stories, which I greatly appreciate. One day, I'm going to be as awesome as she is.
This is Denise. She and Monica are actually sister in laws, but they act like sisters, and I feel like they include me as the third sister, which I love because I miss my two sisters. She's like the big sister I never had. She's probably 10 years older than me (sorry I admitted that Denise!) and when I grow up, I'm gonna be just like her. Her three boys are amazingly adorable (remember my 3 year old boyfriend?) and I love spending time at her house with her kids, husband, and her. They just welcomed me in with open arms, which I really needed. Plus, she makes me feel like I'm a good person who has a lot to offer, which we could all use, right?
At the end of the day, what it all comes down to is this: I have pretty dang amazing friends and I'm very grateful for them. And that is my post for Day 13.

Awww! We love you too! You're so stinkin' nice ;)
I can die a happy woman now, knowing that someone out there worships me as much as I do... ;)
I maybe just peed my pants laughing.
