This one time, we went to Boston...

This is picture-rific, so get ready...

We went to the USS Cassin Young in the Boston Harbor (it was one of the most successful vessels during WWII)

Then we got to see the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned warship in the world. The first pic is from the deck staring straight up the rigging, and the second is a miniature of the ship (the real thing is being reconstructed, and that wasn't a pretty picture). The third is Deg and I at the museum. If you feel like zooming in, the cutout face I'm wearing actually kind of looks like me. Weird...

We went to the town of Plymouth next. The pictures go in this order: the harbor at Plymouth, Plymouth Rock, The Mayflower II (the to-scale exact replica of the original), Deg at the Mayflower II porthole, and the Plimoth Plantation English village (as seen from the fort at the top of the hill).
Then it was off to Walden Pond, where we saw the following: a bronze recreation of Henry David Thoreau himself, a reconstruction of his shack, and the pond itself.

Next we went to Nicola Pizza. Deg's favorite pizza joint in Provo is run by the son of the guy who runs this one. So obviously we had to go. Three word review: best canoli EVER!

And last but not least, we went to Deg's cousin Evan's court of honor. When Deg got his Eagle, Evan was a little tyke, and Evan just thought Deg getting his Eagle was the bee's knees. So he has worked all these years to get his Eagle, too. Aw! The pics are in this order: Evan and Deg; Evan, Deg, and Deg's brother Chris; and all the boys being goofy (Chris, Evan, Evan's brother Ethan, and Deg)

I so want to visit Boston. That is on my list. Great pictures. And the last goofy one was one of the best. :)

Jess -

Boston is my all time favorite city to visit too! The Duck tour (just for the tourists haha) is my favorite thing; I even got to drive the DUCK in the Hudson! haha The walking trail of Boston's history is such a blast; you feel like a little kid, hopping all over Boston to find out what the next marker says!

Congrats on pushing through the crap of grad-school vs. working. Its so hard to change gears when those decisions come. I'm so proud of you. I'm so happy for you - loving the next place you're moving is an obstacle, and you've already conquered that one! I hope you have so much fun - when are you moving? Do you need help packing?

Let me know. Even though I'm lame and haven't seen you much, I'll miss you. That's why we have blogs, right?
