So here's a funny story...
I've got a terrible cough. It's a body-wracking cough, and when I cough, it tastes like blood. I called my mom, who's a nurse, and she said that that's actually pretty normal (a fact the internet confirmed) and that the only thing I can do is wait it out. Sigh. Well, in order to survive sleeping through the night, my mom suggested I go to a pharmacy and ask them what the strongest cough syrup they sell is. (They used to sell one with codeine in it and it was fabulous. They don't anymore.) So off I go to Rite Aid. Th pharmacist offered her advice: I should take Delsym because it lasts way longer than others and it's as strong as I'm gonna get, and I should get the grape flavor because it tastes way better than the orange flavor. So off I go to aisle 13 to get the grape flavored Delsym. This is where it gets funny. I go to the checkout counter, the man rings me up, and then he asks for my ID. I think it is for my card, but he says, "Yeah, we have to card people for this cough syrup." Really!?! I got carded for cough syrup? I've never been carded for anything before! My first time being carded, and it's over cough syrup? Sweet! I had a good chuckle at that one. So now, as I sit here with my medicine cup full of who-knows-what, I'm wondering what'll happen once I drink it. Hopefully I hallucinate or something totally rad or worth carding me over!

How is it that I didn't know your mom is a nurse? Hope you start feeling better soon!
