I hate The Office

You will all hate me when I say this, but guess what? I don't care. It's worth it. Ready, ok!

I hate The Office.

Reason #1: It's just not that funny. And in order for it to be funny, you have to watch it with a group. A show that is actually funny makes you laugh when you are by yourself, or at least makes you crack a smile.

Reason #2: It's awkward, and a kind of awkward that isn't humorous. It's uncomfortable, which we laugh at in order to feel better about the awkwardness.

Reason #3: Overrated (clap, clap, clap clap clap). The hype makes it lose a sense of appeal. It's not original or groundbreaking or something unique to anyone. Everyone and their dog is in loooove with the office, making it sort of passe, like David Hasselhoff. (Come to think of it, that's a good comparison. I wonder if the Germans like The Office, too!)

Reason #4: I've seen much funnier. There are plenty of examples, but the number one is, obviously, Arrested Development. Now that I've dropped that title, I need not say more.

I don't care if you don't agree. It's not funny and it's not worth watching. Part of me says that just to get a reaction out of people, which I love, but a really good chunk of me says that because I actually believe it and I can no longer be silent.

Ahh, what the world would be like without Steve Carrell... or the rest of them, for that matter... definitely a little better.

If you want show that's original and ground breaking, try the British Office. About a million times better but also a million times more awkward, but the characters are actually real people as in unlike this american office you could actually meet people like them. The American Office works for everyone cause it's over the top characters with okay writing. And overall it's just another sitcom. I honestly have no idea why it has caught on more then say That 70s show which is I'd say it's equal in humor.

Don't make me quote the theme song from Diff’rent Strokes...
"What might be right for you may not be right for some."
