Whirlwind Weekend

Ah, the whirlwind that is life. Why do I say that? Here's what happened since graduation:

1. Got dumped and got my heart broken - again. If I wouldn't date, I wouldn't have to go through that, but come on, you all know me. Dating is what I do. So for awile I was feeling very very bad for myself and it hurt alot. Then I decided I wasn't going to feel bad anymore, so I woke up one morning and decided to do my best to forget someone who was so willing to forget me. And here I am, on the hunt again, I suppose, though I hate putting it that way.

2. Had 4 interviews in one day with Idaho Falls School District #91. They can't officially make an offer yet, but really want to. So I could go back to Idaho if I wanted, but alas, I'm not sure what I want. Once agian, you know me, so this should be no big surprise. But it's awesome to have that as an option - I loved growing up in Idaho and I think it'd be fun to go back, though I think I'd live in Rexburg rather than IF so I could have a social life.

3. My parents finally realized that I need my agency. I'm 22 1/2 and they get it. It was a marvelous breakthrough and we are getting along better than we ever have and finally I have the relationship with them that I have always wanted to have. So awkward timing and maybe a bit late, but better now than never.

4. Navigator Pointe Academy, a charter school in West Jordan, has made me an amazing offer. 7th grade (for now), 2 classes of writing/grammar, 3 classes of literature, and (get this) 1 class of musical theater, which I would team teach with the choir teacher. What a blast that would be! Plus, the money and benefits... they're amazing for Utah. At this point, might I quote myself from #2: "Alas, I'm not sure what I want. Once agian, you know me, so this should be no big surprise. But it's awesome to have that as an option."

5. I have a new apartment with new roommates. And I love it -- so far. The girls are great and I love my little private room. It was time for a change, and I really like the place that I'm at now. It's a large complex, which I haven't done since the disasterous King Henry experience, but I think I'll like it here. It's all in the attitude, anyway, right?

6. I finally got the Justin Timberlake CD. Not a big deal? No! It is! He is my soul mate! Ok maybe not my soul mate but you could call me obsessed. Oh Justin, croon to me!How I love your soultry tenor voice. (I'm dreaming of him giving me a private concert now...)

7. I ordered a sewing machine. Well, ok, my mom ordered it for me for graduation. This might seem like a dorky thing, but I'm so excited! I have always wanted to get into sewing, because the little bit that I've done has been so much fun. I've made a quilt, a few costumes for musical theater, a rice bag that you can heat up in the microwave, scarves, stuff like that. But it'll be cool to have my own. I'm sooo stoked.

8. I've decided to buy a digital camera. I'm making a huge purchase here, which kind of intimidates me, but I know I'll love it. My ghetto fabulous camera that I had before has passed on, but before she did, I loved taking pictures and I took them all the time (for proof, view any of my large sandwiching files). So that'll be way cool and I'm so excited to do that. Yay for hobbies!

I think that's all for now, but 8 in the past week is pretty hefty. Amazing, in fact. All in all, I'm doing quite well, I'm happy (though I wish Provo would warm back up), and I'm well on my way to success. Yay!
